My blogging workflow
Post last updated 3 months, 2 weeks ago
Encouraged by Robert's call to share our blogging workflow, I'll share mine below (even though it's been only a few days since I started).
The tools
For now, I write directly in the Bearblog editor, at times getting good use of the Markdown Power-Editor. I write on my laptop only, as I never got used to writing long(er) texts on my phone.
I use Kagi's proofread AI to correct my text, and I like that it doesn't edit anything other than the mistakes.
The craft
As I just started out, I have a couple of subjects I intend to write about, in addition to whatever breaking news event might catch my attention, like it did with the It's bleak post.
Usually, I just write whatever comes at my fingertips on the given subject, but at times I sketch out the ideas in my head first. I do emphasis and corrections on the spot and might change them after a second read. Sometimes I do the layout of the post in advance and then begin writing. I'm not fond of using images, as I prefer to let the text speak, and I'm also not great at choosing tags, but that doesn't bother me that much.
As I'm passionate about literature, I get excited whenever I write a good sentence, but I am not that advanced with my written English yet.
Misc
While I'd like to say I'm completely disinterested in reads or toasts, I'd be lying-either because this is new to me and exciting (I want to think this is the case) or because I actually do want to see my texts getting across even a little bit. However, I try not to write anything just for the sake of toasts.
You can reach out by sending me an email.
I'll probably make an updated version of this in a few months.
